The Stock Market Decided Not To Be Depressing This Week
The stock market had its best week since November! Is this the turn around we've been hoping for, or just a bump in the road rally only delaying us on our race to inevitable bottom? Only time will tell. In any event, don't ask Jim Cramer.
McClatchy, the parent company of The Miami Herald, started the week at about $0.47, and despite massive layoffs at The Herald, finished the week up at $0.54. Still a far cry from when it was trading around $10 a year ago.
Lennar got a whopping 41.5% rise, starting at $6.11, and closing today
at $8.49, its highest close in about a month. Burger King gained a
6.19% boost. Perry Ellis, Inc. is up 5.03% for the week.
