Danna Bogdanoff, the 19-year-old daughter of Republican state Sen. Ellyn Bogdandoff, was arrested in Miami on Friday and charged with four felonies. Though the police report has not been released yet, it appears that the younger Bogdanoff was arrested for an incident involving a burglary and drug possession.
According to The Sun-Sentinel, Danna faces felony charges of third-degree grand theft, burglary to an unoccupied conveyance, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of burglary tools. She also faces two misdemeanor charges of having drug paraphernalia and criminal mischief.
Sen. Bogdanoff, who has nicknamed herself "the Angel of Death" for her tendency to kill bills, represents portions of Broward and Palm Beach counties in the Florida senate. She is seen as one of the top fiscal conservatives in the Senate and just today was named the legislative MVP by the Florida Chamber of Commerce. Bogdanoff has also been recognized for her work on behalf of children and was named the 2003 Mother of the Year from the Healthy Mother-Healthy Babies Coalition of Broward County.
Bogdanoff tells the Sentinel that her daughter began a drug rehabilitation program over the weekend, but refused to elaborate further. Though the senator indicated it was her teenage daughter's second trip to rehab.
