Shatevia Rice, an 18-year-old mother who went missing on Sunday has been found alive, but says she was kidnapped by a pimp who forced her into prostitution.
Rice and her 6-month-old daughter Tamia were returned home safely this morning. Rice says she was kidnapped by a pimp who goes by the name of "Daddy" and forced to pose for pornographic pictures and have sex with almost a dozen men over three days.
"He made me dress up and take pictures of me and put 'em on the Internet," Rice told the media today according to NBC Miami.
She claims that "Daddy" made her have sex for money with men while her daughter was held in another room of the house. He allegedly kidnapped her on Sunday night when Rice was on her way to cut a friend's hair. Daddy drugged and then beat Rice.
Rice's sister told WSVN that the friend she was to meet that night may have set her up.
"I could've left, like tried to make a run for it, but my baby was there, I couldn't leave my baby there," Rice said. "I didn't want to leave my baby there. She was in the back room."
Rice was held, she says, with seven other women in the home and that pit bulls were on guard to detour the woman from running away. Rice however says she can't remember where the home was.
Rice's disappearance made local headlines, and she says she was forced to call her family on Wednesday. Daddy wanted the case "off the news."
Finally Daddy relented and dropped Rice and her daughter back off at her mother's home at 1 a.m. this morning.
"She was scared, shaky, nervous, screaming, a little relief, kind of happy, but still shook up," Rice's mother told WSVN. "She is OK, she might need therapy but she is OK."
