Pregnant Woman Gunned Down in Liberty City
Violence once again erupted in Liberty City last night as a pregnant woman was gunned down in the streets at 10 p.m. last night. The incident happened in the 1200 block of Northwest 53rd Street.
It's unknown if the woman was an innocent bystander or the intended target of the attack.
According to NBC Miami, neighbors say that the woman was in her 30s and already had a teenage son.
"I was reading the Bible, getting ready to read the Bible and all of a sudden, bang, bang, bang, bang, I thought they shot me through the window, I thought they shot me through the window, I thought I was dead," neighbor Vivian Frazier told the station.
More than a dozen bullet cases were found on the site.
The woman collapsed on the street. Witnesses tried to help, and she was eventually taken to Jackson Memorial hospital where she later died.
