Nelson Santoni Strangled His Neighbor To Death After Botched Robbery
Nelson Santoni was desperate. So desperate he decided to break into his neighbors home and take her valuables. But when the woman showed up in the middle of the attempted heist, Santoni attacked her. She was strangled to death in her own home by her neighbor.
According to Local 10, Santoni, 36, had recently lost his job. So last weekend he broke into his neighbor's home at 15th Avenue and Northeast 118th Street in Northeast Miami-Dade.
The station identifies the woman as Brenda, the 52-year-old wife of Jimmy Henderson.
She caught Santoni trying to rob her house and Santoni attacked. He strangled her with cord and then continued to ransack the home before taking off in the woman's car.
Brenda's body was not found until Tuesday.
"She didn't trust that guy," Henderson told Local 10. "She always told me that."
Santoni was arrested on Wednesday and charged with first degree murder. According to WSVN he has already confessed to the crime and is being held without bond.
