Miami Named One of America's Ten Best Cities for 2013
For the past year, real estate site Movoto has ranked American cities by just about every criteria it can think of. Everything from smartest cities and best cities for homebuyers to more esoteric rankings like most steampunk city and preppiest city.
With the year drawing to a close, it only made sense that they'd combine all of these lists into one to make an overall top 10 best cities list for 2013, and Miami made the cut.
Though some of Movoto's list including 100 cities, this mega-list only considered the top 50 most populous cities. Miami came in ninth overall, and here's where we landed on each of the previous lists:
And here's the full top ten:
1. Portland, OR
2. Atlanta, GA
3. Seattle, WA
4. San Francisco, CA
5. Washington, DC
6. Raleigh, NC
7. San Diego, CA
7. Denver, CO
9. Miami, FL
10. Las Vegas, NV
Jacksonville, the only other Florida city in America's 50 most populous, came in all the way down near the bottom at 46. Fresno, California, is, by Movoto's standards, America's worst big city.
