Miami Firefighter (and Calendar Model) Arrested for Downloading Child Porn at Station

Alex Rousseau, a Miami firefighter who has posed twice for the popular South Florida firefighters calendar, was arrested today for allegedly downloading child porn while at the firehouse.

FBI investigators say Rousseau has several videos of children participating in sexual situations downloaded on a laptop at Miami Fire Station 6.

He had downloaded some of the videos through a peer-to-peer file-sharing network while at the fire station.

"The city of Miami Department of Fire-Rescue has been made aware of an ongoing investigation and subsequent arrest involving one of our employees," Lt. Ignatius Carroll said in a statement. "Throughout this process our law enforcement counterparts have exhibited the highest degree of professionalism and integrity. The city of Miami Department of Fire-Rescue will continue to support investigative efforts. As with all open and active investigations, we are unable to provide further information at this time. We remain focused on our primary mission of delivering the highest level of service to our citizens."

Rousseau posed in the South Florida firefighters calendar in 2010 and 2012, and even appears in an icon for the calendar's iPhone app "Firemen 365" and in screenshots in the iTunes store alongside his twin brother:

"They call me flasher," Rousseau says in a Q&A session on the app. "'Cause when I was a rookie I would get out of trouble by flashing my smile. Sometimes I would make my brother do it at the same time."

The 30-year-old is being held without bond. He's been with the department since 2007.
