Have you said to yourself, Wow, I wonder if Marco Rubio has ever been stoned? Probably not, because, honestly, who cares?
The funny thing is that Rubio refuses to answer the question because he thinks people might actually care.
The Associated Press asked Rubio the pot question. Here's his response:
"If I tell you that I haven't, you won't believe me. And if I tell you that I did, then kids will look up to me and say, 'Well, I can smoke marijuana because look how he made it.'"
Which begs the question: How many kids out there are really looking up to Marco Rubio?
And how much would Rubio's admittance to smoking pot really influence them one way or another?
Dude, you're a junior senator from Florida, not everyone's personal moral compass. Get a grip on that ego.
President Obama has admitted to smoking pot and doing cocaine. President Bush wouldn't admit to either, but he probably did both. President Clinton famously "did not inhale."
It's pretty hard to find a prominent person from any walk of life who hasn't admitted to smoking pot. We're talking sports stars, business executives, authors, artists, doctors, lawyers, you name it.
Probably because smoking pot really doesn't have much of an effect on whether anyone is going to "make it."
