Marco Rubio didn't exactly have the nicest things to say about either Miami rapper Pitbull or the field of science in his interview with GQ published yesterday. He claimed Pit wasn't a poet, and cast doubt on generally accepted science that the earth is 4.5 billion years old. He's since issued something of a clarification.
No, not about that silly science stuff, but about Pitbull.
Story about me not liking @pitbull music flat wrong.Have much respect 4 & proud he comes from #305.Read chapter 1 of my book #AnAmericanSon

@pitbull makes party music not message music.Always been place for that in #HipHop.As he gets older he will have more 2 say about life.

Oh, how nice, he even got some publicity for his memoir in there.
Rubio, though, hasn't addressed the controversy over calling the age of the Earth "one of the great mysteries" despite the fact that the question isn't all that much of a mystery at all to scientists.
