Luke Spreads the Truth About Stripper Hoes
Uncle Luke, the man whose booty-shaking madness once made the U.S. Supreme Court stand up for free speech, gets as nasty as he wants to be for Miami New Times. This week, Luke confirms the champagne room is used for more than sipping bubbly in many Miami-Dade strip clubs after speaking with several dancers, and this is what they had to say to him.
I'd like to know what happened to the art of exotic entertainment? Nowadays when you walk into a strip club, you'll be lucky to find a girl who understands the art of seduction.
If you ain't trying to pay them to have sex, they don't want to dance for you. In fact, so many girls are screwing customers that the true exotic entertainers (the ones who dance and can climb the pole, but don't put out) are losing money.
Dudes already know that if they give a stripper a pile of cash for a tabletop dance, she's gonna have sex with him in the VIP room. So the dancers who rely on the tips thrown on the main stage don't get any attention from the titty-bar clientele.
So says an exotic dancer I met recently. She complained she is going to get kicked out of her apartment because she is not making any flow.
This girl -- we'll call her ATL because she's from Atlanta -- says dudes cut deals with the hoes before they go to the VIP or friction room.
A guy will let a ho know that he is going to make it rain on her when she's doing a tabletop dance for him. When she sees the money fluttering all around her, then she knows what she has to do.
ATL has worked at all the big strip clubs, such as Coco's, King of Diamonds, and Tootsie's Cabaret. There was a day when ATL would get on the main stage at any one of those titty bars and make $300 or $400 dancing to one song. Now she's lucky to collect $10. More and more, girls are dancing less and just having sex.
At one of these fine establishments, ATL says, the men are loose from Ecstasy and because they know girls are going to do them. The pimps are posting up in this particular club too. They get in free! ATL claims one pimp came in the other night and whupped some girl because she had only $200. She owed him $300.
At another strip club, ATL doesn't worry so much about sex as she does about management taking her money. For example, if she makes $500 during one shift, she has to kick back $180 to $200 to the house. When dudes make it rain on a stripper, the club's security collects the money on the floor. They keep 10 percent of that cash before giving it back to the girl.
She claims certain managers look the other way because they get a cut from the strippers who ho themselves out. According to ATL, one guy makes sure girls who pay him get all the celebrities and big-money ballers coming through. One night, she was about to dance for Allen Iverson when the manager came in with another girl and told ATL to get out. The other stripper made $2,000 and gave him half.
And it's not like cops don't know what's going on. Last year, cops shut down Cheetah's in Hallandale Beach. They arrested 16 dancers and two managers on misdemeanor prostitution charges.
For the gentleman's-club client who comes in for a drink and a lap dance, the last thing he wants to worry about is getting caught in the middle of a raid by law enforcement authorities because people are having sex in the VIP rooms.
Then we have to worry about the male strippers fucking the female customers. And we can't let that happen.
