The British tabloids are buzzing this morning that two football soccer stars have been banned by their team's management from attending a huge Christmas week party in Miami held by Lil Wayne and Akon. Whatever to this UK soccer saga, but this is first we're hearing of the party which the tabs (who are not known for hyperbole at all) are calling "the biggest hip-hop bash ever
thrown."
Supposedly, the bill for the gala is going to top £1 million (in American money, taking into account the strength of the dollar, that works out to about the cost of the bailout), and Weezy is going to be importing snow. And we're not talking cocaine, he's actually flying in snow from Greenland. Soccer stars aside, the reported guest list include Kanye West, Leona Lewis, Micheal Jackson, and Gwen Stefani. Doesn't Gwen have a baby's first Christmas to plan? And Lord knows Michael Jackson likes to spend his holidays with the kids. Hey, all the more room for you to try and weasel your way in.
