Lil Wayne Snaps Back at Luther Campbell
for a brief second to respond to Luther Campbell's ultimatum that
President Carter needs to start investing more time helping Miami's
less fortunate souls or else. Last night, Young Weezy, via his handle
@LilTunechi, tweeted, "This Nigga Luke trippin!!! I ain't feelin
khaled rite now neither."
Campbell also called out 99 Jamz radio personality DJ Khaled and other out-of-town rappers who've made the Magic City their second home. The New Times columnist's throwdown was picked up by MTV and various hip-hop blogs. But apparently Lil Wayne just heard about it.
"I'm tired of seeing these cats using up our beaches, soaking up our sunshine, taking over the nightclubs, and sleeping with our women without investing anything into the community," Campbell wrote.
No response yet from Uncle Luke, but we're sure a Twitter rap war is about to pop off. It's also not the first time a famous person has responded to a Campbell column via Twitter. Local shock jock Sid Rosenberg popped off on the former 2 Live Crew frontman after a column chastised the WQAM radio host for being unfair to Randy Shannon, the ex-head coach of the University of Miami football team.
