Kyle Orton Trade Definitely Not Happening, Claims ESPN Reporter

It wasn't looking good, but some Dolphins faithful were still holding out hope that the team would make a trade for Denver Broncos QB Kyle Orton. It seems that any remaining flicker of hope was blown out today by ESPN's Adam Schefter. He says Orton will remain with the Broncos and will be their starter next year. Any trade, he claims, is "not going to happen."

It's kind of a weirdly sourced report/rumor. NBC Sports NFL writer Evan Silva attributed quotes to Schefter on his Twitter feed. Schefter then retweeted it on his own Twitter feed, and it appears that's good enough for most of the sportsosphere.

Here are Silva's quotes:

ESPN's @AdamSchefter on #Broncos QB situation: "The Denver Broncos are not going to trade Kyle Orton. That's not going to happen."less than a minute ago via Seesmic Desktop Favorite Retweet Reply

More Schefter on #Broncos: "They're not going to trade Kyle Orton this season. Kyle Orton is going to be the Broncos' starting quarterback."less than a minute ago via Seesmic Desktop Favorite Retweet Reply

So there you have it, folks. If the tweets are to believed, it looks like we really are sticking with Chad Henne next year.
