Isiah Thomas Leaving FIU for DePaul? FIU Says No
That NBA legend and former NBA head coach Isiah Thomas found himself in the head coach's office of Florida International University has always seemed so, well, randomly weird. So it's inevitable that rumors pop up every once in a while that he wants to leave.
The Chicago Tribune reports Thomas is apparently interested in the head coaching job at DePaul. Almost as instantly as the word went out, the school got on the horn to the Miami Herald and denied the report.
Thomas put together a recruiting class that's pretty stellar, especially by FIU standards, and reportedly will return to coach his new recruits next year.
