In the worst acted anti-Obama ad released, well, since this little homophobic ditty that came out earlier this week, a new National Republican Committee ad features a pretty, young woman pretending to be a dissatisfied former Obama voter who decides to "break up" with the president. Except the woman in the ad isn't a former Democrat. She's actually Bettina Inclan, a former campaign spokeswoman for everyone's favorite Republican, Gov. Rick Scott.
Inclan is now the Republican National Committee Director of Hispanic Outreach and had previously worked for former Miami congressmen Lincoln Diaz-Balart, but apparently has taken on the duty of political ad actress in her free time.
Like most political ads however, this is a work of fiction and the RNC is freely admitting that their "disillusioned Dem" is a GOP ringer.
"It's a lighthearted ad to show how millions of Americans feel about President Obama -- he's not the person we thought he was and it's time to break up with him," an RNC official told Talking Points Memo. "But let's be clear, it is an ad."
Yes, it is an ad, and not a very good one. Let's just say we're glad Inclan has a day job.
