Florida Woman Wanted for Attack Found Covered in Blood, Claims It's From Her Period
A Florida woman alleged to have attacked a man after he refused to give her money for crack cocaine was found by police shortly after the incident. Authorities found her covered in blood, but the woman wasn't about to let that be taken as proof that she was behind the attack. She told police that the blood covering her body was actually from her menstrual cycle.
According to Off the Beat, the victim had been staying at a motel in Fort Pierce for a few days with a woman he didn't know too well. He admitted to police he couldn't remember if her name was Brenda or Barbara.
Her name, police would later find out, was indeed Barbara Cruz.
Cruz, who is 39, demanded that the man fork over some cash so she could buy crack cocaine. The man refused, so the woman grabbed a carving fork and rammed it at his face and ear. After the man called police they arrived to find him bloody.
They quickly found a woman matching the description who also happened to be covered in blood. The blood was smeared all over her right arm.
When asked about it, she told police that she was on her period. She did however admit that she had been with the victim. She was arrested and charged with aggravated battery person uses a deadly weapon, battery, destroying evidence, resisting and officer, obstructing justice without violence and possession of drug paraphernalia.
