Apparently 54-year-old David Edward Benes wasn't so concerned with the May/December aspect of his relationship with his 80-year-old girlfriend, but rather what he saw as the demon/non-demon problem.

The Holiday, Florida, man was arrested after forcibly trying to perform an exorcism on his senior citizen gal pal.

According to the Tampa Bay Times, the two had been in a relationship for three years and were living together. On Monday they got into a fight which turned physical and Benes then grabbed the woman, held her down and tried to "exorcise her and get the devil out of her."

Benes disabled the home phone, took away the woman's car keys, and rigged the garage door so it wouldn't open. After a long do of exorcising the woman fell asleep on Monday, but the exorcism started up again on Tuesday.

The woman somehow managed to contact police that day. They found her sitting outside her home crying with bruises and scratches on her body.

Benes was inside, too drunk to remember what had happened. He just said he was fighting with girlfriend because "she is crazy." Yeah, she seems like the crazy on here.

Benes was arrested and charged with domestic battery on a person 65 or older, tampering with a witness and false imprisonment.
