Don't Worry, Billy the Marlin Will Be Back With New Colors
One conspicuous absence from the Miami Marlin's big celebration on Friday to officially unveil their new name, logo, uniforms, color scheme and stadium: Billy the Marlin. Usually a centerpiece of most team events, the world's only fish with feet was nowhere to be seen, leaving some to wonder if the mascot wasn't making the move to Little Havana with the club. Fear not, the team says a revamped Billy will return.
"He is here. He will be back, and there are no dramatic changes for Billy, just some color adjustments," Sean Flynn, Marlins vice president of marketing, told the Sun-Sentinel . "Colors will be similar in nature to what you see in the new colors of the organization."
