Homicide detectives had no immediate answers in the mysterious death of 22-month-old Dominicue Andrews yesterday afternoon at a day-care center in Homestead. However, NBC Miami is now reporting the boy likely died after being forgotten in a hot van.

Andrews was picked up from his home at 7:35 a.m. yesterday by a van run by the Jomiba Learning Center. It now appears he never left the van and died due to the heat after being forgotten in the vehicle.

After police arrived, the boy's body was found lying in an alleyway near the van outside the day-care center.

Jomiba has run afoul of the Department of Children and Families before. Three employees failed to sign a form declaring they had good moral character. Though that citation seems relatively minor in wake of yesterday's tragedy. The DCF is now considering permanently revoking Jomiba's license.
