Calvin Klein Is Bored of Miami Beach and Selling His Mansion

After about a decade of spending part of his time at his North Bay Road mansion in Miami Beach, famed fashion designer Calvin Klein is ready for a change. The man whose name adorns at least some of your underwear is packing up and heading to Los Angeles instead.
“Not to compare apples to oranges, but Miami Beach is a resort," he tells Page Six. "LA is where people work, not only in the entertainment business, but all different walks — the social media world — it’s a new experience.”
"[I] had a blast in Miami, but I can only last so long just doing one thing," he continues. "Life is an adventure. It’s the ride. It’s not how much money you make, it’s the ride and adventure of living.”
Page Six says Klein has instead bought a home up in the Hills of Hollywood for around $30 million, and is ready to sell the Miami Beach pad, which he finished refurbishing in 2006. However, the home was a labor of love that was photographed for Vanity Fair in 2008, and he won't sell it to just anyone.
“It may sound crazy, but I wouldn’t sell it to just anyone," he says. "It would break my heart. I hate to use the word ‘unique,’ but I have never seen another house like it .... I want to sell it to someone who appreciates the aesthetic.”
No word on how much money Klein is looking to get for the home, but if you're the sort of person who presumably has tens of millions dollars sitting around to invest in a home, you probably also have the resources to find a way to get in contact with Klein.
