Showtime has classed up its act lately with really great shows, not the least of which is Miami-set Dexter. Well, tonight the channel gets a little trashy with a new show called Beach Heat: Miami (apparently the simpler named Miami Heat was already taken). Unlike Dexter, it was actually shot in Florida, but as far as we can tell, it's pretty much soft-core porn. It is also stars perpetual reality-TV show vixen Megan Hauserman in her first "acting" role. Who knew there'd be a Miami-set show on Thursday nights that would out-trash Jersey Shore?

"It's a show about lifeguards  similar to Baywatch," director Bill Fisher says in a news release. "However, we show more skin and have a real storyline like Nip/Tuck."

The show premieres tonight at 11:30 right before The Real L Word.

Showtime hasn't put out much media material, but it has posted episode summaries online and lists the show under the "adult" genre. As far as we can tell, it's a show about Miami lifeguards who have a lot of sex with each other.

Tonight's episode is called "Virgin Meat on the Beach." Upcoming episodes will feature titles such as "Hang and Bang," "The Wrong Drink Can Lead to an STD," "Prostitution and Payback," and our personal favorite, "The Safeword Is Monkey."

Megan Hauserman, star of a string of VH1 reality shows and her own ill-fated Megan Wants a Millionaire, stars in a recurring role. In fact, she was working on the project when she got a DUI in Miami Beach in April.

If you need an excuse to party, she's hosting a premiere bash for the show this Saturday in Broward at Pangaea.
