Al Franken Finally Wins, Karma Makes Up For 2000 Florida Election Fiasco
The Minnesota Supreme Court has unanimously declared Al Franken the winner of the 2008 Minnesota Senate race. Republican Governor Tim Pawlenty is widely expected to certify the results and send the SNL-alum to the highest legislative body in the land. The win will give Democrats a filibuster proof 60 seat majority in the Senate. Update: Politico reports Franken's opponent Norm Coleman has conceded.
