Fun news. Miami has finally scored a proper show by part of the holy triumvirate of Establishment-Accepted Brooklyn Art-Pop: Yeasayer! (MGMT and the Dirty Projectors would round out the trio.... One can continue to dream.)
The only bummer is that by the time Yeasayer down here, the guys might be extremely tired. The tour starts this Friday in New York, hits a bunch of major international festivals all summer, and continues through the States in the early fall (and then actually back to Europe for a small run at the end of October).
Still, in October, the band is set to hit up Florida pretty extensively: October 4 in St. Petersburg, October 7 in Orlando, October 8 in Tallahassee, and, most importantly, October 5 in Miami at the lovely Fillmore Miami Beach. In your face again, Broward. (Please, please, let's save the Fillmore so we can keep getting these shows within our county borders.)
The tour dates were just announced yesterday, and Live Nation hasn't yet announced when tickets will go on sale. We will post that information as soon as we get it.
