A good indication that you're really, really cool is if any living thing you interact with becomes really, really cool simply by association. This is what happened with Iggy Pop's pet cockatoo yesterday.

Known as Biggy Pop, it took the bird all of a few hours to take the internet by storm after news broke that Biggy had his (or her?) own Instagram account. The page consists of only six short videos, all of which fall somewhere between awww and oh my God on the spectrum of adorability.

The world first met Biggy in a 2013 Christmas greeting from Pop (the human). Filmed in what looks an awful lot like Iggy's Miami home, Biggy appears only briefly, mumbling nonsense words at his shirtless master. It's unclear if Biggy was under the influence of a controlled substance during the filming of that video.

But clearly the bird's moment in the spotlight was too brief, and when Biggy's Instagram account started circling around the webs, his star power was clear.

The first video was uploaded two weeks ago and shows Iggy and Biggy rubbing cheeks as Curtis Mayfield's "Diamond in the Back" plays.

The most recent video, uploaded on Wednesday, shows Iggy and Biggy again getting up-close and personal with some smooches.

Iggy's Miami date is quickly approaching. His April 19 show at the Fillmore will be his only Florida gig on the Post Pop Depression tour. Will Biggy be there? Probably not, because he is a bird.

But this Instagram account should be enough to get us through these next couple of weeks until the show.

Iggy Pop. 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 19, at the Fillmore Miami Beach, 1700 Washington Ave., Miami Beach; 305-673-7300; Tickets cost $64 to $105 via
