Tango Conspiracy at PAX Miami March 23
Tango music is so sexy that women's juices flow as soon as they hear its sultry sound.
The music — born from a mix of African and European influences in Buenos Aires and Montevideo — has been leaving dance floors sticky, hot, and wet since the 1890s. The dance involves a close embrace between partners, complex footwork, and semigymnastic maneuvers. It's like the Kama Sutra with your clothes on.
In 2005, Jimena Fama recognized the music's allure, went on a musicological quest through Argentina, and then started Tango Conspiracy, an electro-dub-tango band employing live musicians and electronic elements. The result has been wowing audiences from posh Miami to rich New York City and every TV set in between thanks to constant shows and a crucial placement on Dancing With the Stars.
Now, for Winter Music Conference, Jimena and crew bring the heat back to Miami, strutting up SW Eighth Street like stilettos on some long legs.
