As you should know, Afrojack protégé R3hab is coming to rock the house at LIV this Saturday. And we here at Crossfade sent him some need-to-know questions.

We were desperate for the scoop on why R3hab's got a number "3" in his name. But he refused to tell us. It's a secret.

And while we suspect it's got something to do with a totally out-of-control video-gaming habit, he did break away from the joystick long enough to answer some of our other inquiries.

For instance, what's the best part of being in Miami when you're a Dutch house star? That's easy ... The nice weather, the beautiful girls, the non-stop music, and climbing into the DJ booth at LIV.

"I am really excited to play at LIV," R3hab gushes. "(It's) one of the best clubs in the world. The guys take great care of me and the crowd is just amazing."

You hear that world? Miami powns. We know how to pop bottles and bitches with the best of them, and the remix king of Wall Recordings says so.

Speaking of R3hab's remixing skills, a lot of fans have been looking forward to some original material, and they just might be in luck. He told us about a lot of hot tracks in the works. He may even release an album before too much longer.

Of course, a R3hab slab would be sick! But he says he has just as much fun reworking others' tracks as he does creating his own from scratch.

"With an original, the creativity is unlimited," he admits. "With a remix, you have a certain guideline, a topline of the vocal that you have to follow, and you can only do certain things. I prefer both. But it's always fun to remix a great vocal. For example, Usher."

Duh, who wouldn't love working with Usher? He's like our generation's Michael Jackson, without all the weird shit.

Still, shit will get weird at LIV when R3hab comes to town. But weird in a good way. 'Cause with a moniker like that, it's clear this man knows how to party.

"Come early," he hollers. "You don't want to wait in the lobby for hours! LIV Miami is always madness!"

R3hab. Saturday, August 11. LIV, 4441 Collins Ave., Miami Beach. The party starts at 11 p.m. and tickets cost $75 to $125 plus fees via wantickets.com. Ages 21 and up. Call 305-674-4680 or visit livnightclub.com.
