Soon, Parable will be crisscrossing the nation on a promo tour that'll take him from the Bring It Back stage on the Vans Warped Tour to a radio appearance in Chicago, and a show in Detroit. That's just for starters. For now, he's got a video out called Mistakes that starts with a beer, gets into liquor, and finds him in trouble with a night time lady of the night.

See the cut for Parable's new vid, plus a Q&A with the local spitter.

Crossfade: What's up with this tour you're doing?

This year, Warped has a hip-hop stage, a side stage that's going to be in select cities. It's called the Bring It Back stage on the Vans Warped Tour. It's a big corporation, so they have a very specific way they word it. I'll be there performing in Mountain View outside of San Jose, in Ventura, California, in Detroit, and in South Florida on July 30. Because all the dates are spread out, I'm staying on the road the whole time and filling it up with extra spot dates: two extra shows in the Bay Area, a pending show in LA, a radio appearance in Chicago, radio and a show in Detroit, and then a show in Atlanta. I'm really piggybacking off the whole Warped Tour and just staying on the road.

You've toured around the country a couple of times, right?

I've done a lot of mini-tours. Me traveling and doing shows is nothing new, and this is my third or fourth year doing non-stop tours throughout the year.

What do you think about getting out of Miami?

It's awesome to get a different vibe from the scenery, the culture and the lifestyle of each individual city, and getting outside of the world of Miami. As much of an amazing city as it is, you get stuck sometimes. But don't get it twisted, life on the road isn't easy ... Living out of suitcases and hotels and couch-surfing. It's not always lavish and shit, at least at the level I'm at. It gets a little difficult. But at the end of the day, it's worth it.

What do you think about bringing hip-hop to the Warped Tour?

It's gonna be a little challenging because it's not at all a hip-hop crowd. But there are people who love hip-hop nonetheless, so there's an opportunity and there's an opening. But at the same time, it's still gonna be a challenge.

Any shout outs?

Yeah, I've got the digital version of the VS mixtape. Right now, it's all physical copies, coming in September with 14 tracks and support from Public Wizard, AntiSteez, and Kevin Nottingham. Check it out.
