One of the worst thing about being a devoted live music fan is the sticker shock that comes when a ticket's final price is totaled up. A ticket that's about $20 can end up as much as $40 sometimes when you lump in all the nebulous service charges, "venue charges," even parking charges, and whatever else.
The good thing, though, is that if you're planning to hit up amphitheater shows, often there are so many tickets for sale, if you're patient and play your cards right, specials are bound to come up. So it goes with Live Nation's current "No Service Fee June" sale, running as of this morning until 11:59 p.m. Wednesday, June 31.
The sale covers all the company's local amphitheater shows -- clubs and theaters like the Fillmore Miami Beach, for instance, are out -- and it means that the ticket price you see is pretty much the final ticket price you'll get.
Live Nation operates Bayfront Park Amphitheater, so the sale includes some Miami shows, like Robert Plant on Saturday, July 31, Maroon 5 on Thursday, August 19, and the Honda Civic Tour with Tegan & Sara and New Found Glory on Saturday, September 9. (The sale applies to any tickets bought in June, not just for concerts in June.)
If you're traveling further afield in South Florida, you could score
discounts on shows like Cobra Starship and 3OH!3 on June 8 at Pompano
Beach Amphitheater, or Dave Matthews Band on July 30 and 31 at the
Cruzan Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach.
Here's the full list of all the South Florida amphitheater shows covered by Live Nation's No Service Fee June
