It's carefully orchestrated and expertly jammed out, from multiple appearances by Lenny Kravitz, Questlove, and urban session man James Poyser to sundry raunchy licks, hard funk, and wise-girl vibes. Only the first cut, "Till I Get to You," approaches the rhythmic frisson of "Like a Feather," the salvo that introduced Costa in 2002. But can'tneverdidnothin' has plenty of jams, including "Till I Get to You," "Around the World," and "Happy in the Morning," that will get you through the night, although you may have trouble remembering them when morning comes.
