Muse Saves Daniel Craig From SNL, Announces North American Tour With South Florida Show
This past weekend, English alt-rockers Muse had to step up and carry Saturday Night Live after guest host Daniel Craig made it abundantly clear during his monologue that comedy was foreign to him.
Watching James Bond deliver punch lines was about as entertaining as a Schindler's List viewing party at a children's hospital cancer ward. In fact, it wouldn't surprise us if Sinéad O'Connor made an SNL comeback before 007 ever hosts again. It was that bad.
But Muse prog-rocked the shit out of 30 Rockefeller Plaza, making SNL bearable and offering a late-night variety show teaser of what to expect on the band's upcoming North American tour.
Check out the dates after the cut.

Muse's sixth studio record, The 2nd Law, was released last week and features politically charged lyrics over dub-heavy rock riffs. During an interview with the Huffington Post, lead singer Matt Bellamy said that BBC News inspired him to write the album.
"I was sitting watching Newsnight one night, with Jeremy Paxman going on about the Euro crisis," he said. "It was late 2011, and one bloke on the panel linked the economic crisis to unsustainability. He said it was just how energy functioned, and it's part of human evolution that there's a conflict in ourselves we can't yet overcome. It was so simple."
Last night, The 2nd Law debuted atop the atop the U.K. sales charts, Billboard reports, beating out the likes of Korean pop sensation PSY and Rihanna, and proving that there's still a home for socio-economic commentary and sustainability in contemporary music.
