This past Thursday's main music story in both the Miami New Times and New Times Broward-Palm Beach tells the story of Cat Shell. She's a young Boca singer-songwriter who performs material worthy of the torch-song divas of yesteryear, and you can read Lee Zimmerman's full article about her here.

As the story mentions, Shell says her latest material is taking a more introspective, even darker direction on her forthcoming album, still untitled and due out in the fall. She has kindly provided us with a still-unreleased acoustic rough draft for that record, a song called "Summertime." Get the download link, and information for Shell's next few upcoming shows, after the jump.
