Miami According to Brooklyn: Sometimes, Even I Can Be a Jackass

What

I would like to talk about this week is me being a jackass. Recently, I

wrote about predatory men and slutty women, and it's come to my

Upcoming Events

attention that people got the impression I was bashing certain clubs,

which I wasn't. The Vagabond and its neighbors take proper safety

measures, not just for women, but for everyone. It may be walking

someone to their car, or just saying, Yo, my friend, I think you have had a little too much; why don't I give you this bottle of water on the house.

What

I wrote was not meant to bash anyone or hurt anyone's feelings or to

change anyone's mind about the place they are are going to attend that

evening. If that's the impression I left, I apologize. I only meant to

warn people about the dangers that can happen in that type of

environment, and to be aware.

Again, I would like to extend my sincerest apologies to anyone whose

feelings I may have hurt. Yes, sometimes even I can be a jackass.

Also, here at the Vagabond this week we lost a key family member, Adam Hernandez. Our hearts go out to Adam and his family and

loved ones. Adam, you will always be in our hearts and minds.

Five Albums I'm Listening to this Week: 1) As Friends Rust, An Anthology of Short Fiction and Nonfiction. 2) Band #12, demo. They're straight out of Pompano. 3) Bane, It All Comes Down to This. 4) Baroness, Red Album. 5) The Bars, Introducing....

Quote of the Week: "A man begins cutting wisdom teeth the first time he bites off more then he can chew." -- Herb Caen

And Here's What's Going on at the Vagabond This Week:

*Tuesday, Stone Groove: This is a very cool, laid-back night without the egos, hosted by Mr. Marcus Blake.
*Thursday, Shake: A fun hip-hop night, hosted by my brothers Dominic, Jose El Rey, and the coolest guy ever, AHOLSNIFFSGLUE.
*Friday, Fridays at the Vagabond:

This is cohosted by Ms. Lolo and Sweat Records. Trust me, people, this

party has a life of its own. The music is a mix of electro, indie, and

some fresh beats. It's a good time you don't want to miss.
*Saturday, Back Door Bamby:

Always a good time, and you never know what you're going to get. The

music ranges from garage rock, to house, to hip-hop, and some very rare

beats on the outside patio.
