According to the National Hurricane Center, there is a nasty bitch with one eye named Irene who's gonna come crashing through "the Southeastern...Central...and Northwestern Bahamas" today. She's a "category three hurricane." She's whipping up winds of 115 mph. And she's pissing "1 to 3 inches" of rain on any fool who gets in her way.

Tomorrow, Irene could be throwing her hissy fit in Miami. But Metro Zu ain't sweating that shit. In fact, Lofty, RubenSlikk, Freebase, and Mr.b the Poshstronaut have got a stiff message for this hard-blowing ho: "Fokk da hurricane!"

And instead of sitting at home watching the weather, the Zu crew's been spending the last few days getting ready for Crossfade Presents The Local with O'Grime, Metro Zu, and Chalk at The Stage.

They've been Photoshopping special flyers for this party. They've been packing their 'cane preparedness kits full of water, flashlights, batteries, burritos, and kush. And they've been tossing off timely lyrical bursts via Facebook: "She told me wen we fuk I take her bak to 92/Cuz I hit it like Andrew came thru."

So if you wanna show Irene she ain't no thang, just say "Fokk da Hurricane!," and come swag out with Metro Zu, O'Grime, Chalk, Crossfade, and The Stage.

O'Grime and Metro Zu as part of Crossfade Presents The Local at The Stage. Thursday, August 25. The Stage Miami, 170 NE 38th St., Miami. The swag stuff starts at 9 p.m. and admission is free. Call 305-576-9577 or visit thestagemiami.com.
