Mark Pollack is expanding his involvement with Cinema Paradiso, at least for one night, bringing back memories of Sunday nights at Tavern 213. The record collector, promoter, personal trainer and walking musical encyclopedia is staging a record swap, punk show and movie screening at the awesome downtown Fort Lauderdale space. They are gonna watch Lust for Life, the Iggy pop movie as well as see Margate Punk Rock Superstars® the Shakers get down.  Best of all this jam is free and the drinks don't cost all that much at that place.  Also no smoking in the venue, which is really really nice sometimes.  For once you can breathe after seeing a righteous cover of "American Girl" and you won't totally smell like a locker room for the USA Olympic Smoking Team when you get home.

Can I Say goes down Sunday, June 28 at 8 p.m. at Cinema Paradiso (503 SE 6th Street, Ft. Lauderdale)  Appearing are the Shakers, No Class Action and Band No. 12.  Bring records, money, and a good attitude.  Admission is free.
