Los Enanitos Verdes ("The Little Green Dwarves") are pretty much the granddaddies of alternative rock in their native Argentina. They've been in the game a hell of a long time — 30 years, if you count the early days, before guitarist Sergio Embroni and keyboardist Tito Dávila signed on in 1984, forming the quintet that produced a groundbreaking eponymous debut disc. These days, original members Marciano Cantero, Felipe Staiti, and Daniel Piccolo carry on, with 15 albums under their belt and the respect and admiration of the Latin rock masses. Catch the band live at the Fillmore Miami Beach this Saturday. Once you do, the term Little Green Dwarves will hold a whole new meaning for you — one not related to Verne Troyer barfing in that episode of The Surreal Life.
