Here are the five best free Labor Day parties going down in Miami this weekend.

Peachfuzz. With DJ DZA. Friday, August 30, 11 p.m., the Garret, 697 North Miami Ave., Miami; 305-377-2277; grandcentralmiami.com. Free. Give work a rest and see how hard you can party with funky beats from DJ DZA, $5 peach Perrier with vodka, and $5 draft Beck's.

Holopaw. With Roger Beebe, Mr. Brown, and Action Pat. Saturday, August 31, 10 p.m., Gramps, 176 NW 24th St., Miami; 786-752-6693; grampsbar.com. Free. You're free this weekend, so sit back, grab a brewski, and relax as Holopaw rocks the stage at Gramps with their smooth vinyl tracks and melodic vocals.

Labor Day Massacre. With Las Tias, the Jellyfish Brothers, Pretty Girls, Sedgwick, Joce, and Pocket of Lollipops. Sunday, September 1, 7 p.m., Will Call, 700 NE 2nd Ave., Miami; 305-577-5900; willcallmiami.com. Free. You know you're in Miami when lechón is the dish of choice for every holiday, including Labor Day. Get in touch with your 305 roots as Las Tias, Pocket of Lollipops, and other bands of the ilk celebrate America's official day off with music, beer, a pig roast, and some "Cute Chaos."

Work It. With DJs Craze and DZA. Sunday, September 1, 10 p.m., Bardot, 3456 North Miami Ave., Miami; 305-576-7750; bardotmiami.com. Free. Yes, clubbing is considered hard work. I mean, a night of dancing to the beats of DJ Craze is the equivalent of a high-intensity cardio work out. In that case, break a sweat you "mother fuckin' monster."

Midtown Get Down. With DJs Self Born, Heron, and guest DJs. Sunday, September 1, 2-7 p.m., the Stage, 170 NE 38th St., Miami; 305-576-9577; thestagemiami.com. Free. Get rid of that hangover with a barbecue and classic throwbacks from DJs Self Born and Heron. Come to the realization that there's no work tomorrow, and then drink up some more with two for $5 PBRs.
