You've been straining your eyes the entire day, staring at a computer screen for the past nine hours at work.

You're tired. Not just today. But tired in general. You want a new profession. Something that offers up more exciting shit. Maybe something in the music industry. But you'll never meet the right people as long as you're stuck at your dead-end gig, right?

No, you won't. So lose that shitty tie, and head on over to Bardot right fucking now! The folks responsible for handing out Grammy Awards are hosting a sweet networking event.

Florida's Chapter of the Recording Academy meets every second Tuesday of the month for a "casual networker," and it's going down tonight at Bardot.

Hosted by chapter president governor Lauren Reskin of Sweat Records, "In the Mix" offers complimentary hors d'oeuvres and two-for-one drink specials. Not to mention, the opportunity to rub elbows with connected folks.

We can't guarantee you'll find the contact of your dreams. At the very least, though, you'll score some free food and cheap booze.

In the Mix Casual Networker. Tuesday, September 13. Bardot, 3456 N. Miami Ave., Miami. The event runs from 7 to 9 p.m. Call 305-576-7750 or visit bardotmiami.com.
