Get Your Faces Melted! Free Tom Cruise Rock of Ages Concert at Sun Life Stadium Today
Perfect. 'Cause today at 1 p.m., the New Line Cinema movie musical is hosting a "concert" at Sun Life Stadium, wherein Cruise as Broadway rocker Stacee Jaxx will perform (i.e. lip synch) a couple of tunes, including Bon Jovi's "Wanted: Dead or Alive" and Journey's "Don't Stop Believin'."
Director Adam Shankman's been begging Rock of Ages' Facebook fanbase to costume themselves ("Like the 80s! Big hair, make-up, and All Black rockin' clothes") and drag their asses out to Miami Gardens.
Are you ready to get your faces melted? Director Adam Shankman invites you to the set of New Line Cinema's arena-rock love story "Rock of Ages," who is throwing one head-banging concert with cast Tom Cruise, Julianne Hough, and Diego Boneta for the upcoming filming of a scene.
Come and bring your friends to all be extras (16 years and older only please), and join us on the "Rock of Ages" set, and rock out like it's 1987 with our cast to the sounds of such hits as "Wanted: Dead Or Alive" & "Don't Stop Believin'."
Now this "concert" sounds like one of those so-dumb-it'll-be-fun kinda things. But it might not actually be worth the waste of time.
After all, if you've ever been so desperate for cash that you whored yourself out as an extra to the film industry, you know that the "filming of a scene" lasts for-fucking-ever. (Note the very vague "Work Finished" end time.) So expect to spend the afternoon and evening and, uh, a chunk of tonight sleeping on your knees while intermittently "get[ting] your faces melted."
Rock of Ages film shoot with Tom Cruise, Julianne Hough, and Diego Boneta. Monday, July 18. Sun Life Stadium, 2267 Dan Marino Blvd., Miami Gardens. The shoot starts at 1 p.m. and it's free. All extras must be 16 and up. Visit facebook.com/rockofages.
