After wasting another week flipping burgers, pumping gas, pouring drinks, pushing papers, writing blogs, or whatever, the whole world just wants to get smashed. Even the Bastard Lovechild of Rock 'n' Roll.
And if this were next Friday, we might suggest buying up massive quantities of beer, booze, cigarettes, fireworks, and masks made from animal skulls for a weird and inebriated weekend at Le Blorr's secluded stonework cabin in the woods.
But tonight, the Bastard is streaking into Midtown Miami for The Stage Miami's Smashfest party with Annapolis, Maryland's Dirty Names, San Diego's TV Girl, plus Florida's own Roadkill Ghost Choir, Florida Kilos, and Saskatchewan.
Now go get smashed.
Smashfest with Le Blorr, Dirty Names, TV Girl, Roadkill Ghost Choir, Florida Kilos, and Saskatchewan. Friday, June 29. The Stage Miami, 170 NE 38th St., Miami. The show starts at 9 p.m. and tickets cost $5 to $10 plus fees via completeticketsolutions.com. Ages 18 and up. Call 305-576-9577 or visit thestagemiami.com.
