Saturday, March 17: Bacardi B-Live, Bayfront Park As if one huge, outdoor festival wasn't enough (Ultra, next weekend), Bacardi throws its own bash this Saturday, featuring new cross-genre collaborations by an odd mix of rock and dance music artists. Whatever, tickets are free if you're of legal drinking age, and one can probably assume there'll be free samples a-flowin' inside. You must be over 21 to remember most of the artists performing, who include Scott Weiland, Dave Navarro, and Billy Morrison (of the Cult). Bacardi is banking on Hollywood brats DJ AM and Travis Barker as the big draw, as well as an end-of-the-night set by Paul Oakenfold, who will be backed by a full orchestra. Modest this event is not. Monday, March 19: Back Door Bamby's Foreplay, Snatch Back Door Bamby might have been around for ten years straight now, but she's still the queen of Monday nights, and the Beach's most badass bitch. A regular ol' Monday at Bamby might feature dancers in fetish cat suits flinging gigantic bowls of milk, towering trannies performing show tunes, or rock and rollers writhing atop Snatch's mechanical bull. Bamby loves everyone, so come as you are; the freakier, the better. This Monday she'll get you hot and ready for the rest of the week with a set by house legend "Little" Louie Vega featuring Anané, and who knows what other naughty surprises. Monday, March 19: El-P performs live at Studio A Hip-hop heads have good reason to rejoice: Miami just happens to be one of the four cities El-P has chosen for a mini-tour this month, and the local date falls right before conference. The impresario of legendary underground label Definitive Jux (and founder of seminal group Company Flow) appears in support of his second solo album in almost ten years.
