And with shows from J. Cole's smooth rap to Maroon 5's rockin' serenades to Depeche Mode's dark pop, everyday will feel like a weekend bash.

Here are the five best concerts to check out in South Florida this week.

Thursday, September 12, 8 p.m., the Fillmore Miami Beach, 1700 Washington Ave., Miami Beach; Tickets cost $49.50-$59.50 plus fees via The synth-pop vibes of the Pet Shop Boys have withstood the test of time: they made it through the "dance-crazed '80s," "alternative scene of the '90s, and today's massive dance revival." No wonder they're considered the forefathers of EDM.

Kaskade. Saturday, September 14, 8 p.m., American Airlines Arena, 601 Biscayne Boulevard; 786-777-1000; Tickets cost $25-$85 plus fees via Ultra Music Festival may be six months away, but "don't be fooled by your emptiness [of EDM]... there's so much more room for happiness" with Kaskade's uhntz-uhntz.


Honda Civic Tour. With Maroon 5 and Kelly Clarkson. Saturday, September 14, 7 p.m., Cruzan Ampitheatre, 601-7 Sansbury's Way, West Palm Beach; 561-795-8883; Tickets cost $26.50-$93.50 via "Cross your heart and hope to die," but Adam Levine's flawless scruff and tatted body will only stay with us for one night. You may have to drive all the way to West Palm Beach for it, but trust us, you won't "wake up in the morning probably hating yourself" for doing so.

Depeche Mode. With Bat for Lashes. Sunday, September 15, 7:30 p.m., BB&T Center, One Panther Parkway, Sunrise; 954-835-8000; Tickets cost $37.75-$85.75 via When it comes to the dark, new wave hits of Depeche Mode, "words are very unnecessary." All you need is the silence of the music.
