I think you know what time it is. It's time for some funkedified cubaneo up in here. And I can pretty much guarantee you're not going to find a higher concentration of said funky cubaneo in any other single place than you would at Transit Lounge this Friday night. The venue's Arte Libre party offers live performances by two of the baddest Cuban acts in town, notorious for inducing the most booty shaking around.
Conjunto Progreso will be in the house, giving fans that son that earned the band the honors for Best Latin Band in this year's New Times Best of Miami. Conjunto is also fresh off celebrating its album release last week.

Also on the lineup is Palo! The band isn't as traditional as Conjunto Progreso, but bursting with just as muchcubiche flavor. Ed Calle and company combine their Afro-Cuban underpinnings with funk and jazz flavor for a tasty fusion indeed.
Also on tap to keep you entertained: live art by Rei Ramirez, a domino tourney, Cuba Libre drink specials all night, and a silent auction of oil paintings from artists living in Cuba. You won't get much more cubaneo than that.
