Tikl is the latest project from chef Simon Stojanovic and restaurateur Claudio Giordano. Here, they bring the small-plates concept that's been a success in restaurants like Pubbelly and Sugarcane to Brickell, Miami's business core. The opening couldn't come faster, for the area is full of mediocre, overpriced restaurants.The menu features mostly Asian-inspired dishes, and though plates aren't as exciting as elsewhere, they feature locally sourced ingredients that are flavorful and used well. Choices such as lamb zatar and beef cheek are highlights. The menu also features a variety of raw items, some better than others, with rotating special rolls and tiraditos that change two to three times per week. It's a welcome addition to the neighborhood and one that will hopefully set a new standard.
