Thrive is a little vegan/raw food/juice bar tucked within a garden center. Speaking of gardens: The lovely, secluded dining patio is a great place to sit and relax with one of the fresh-squeezed fruit juices and smoothies served ($6); there are a few seats indoors too. The cuisine includes lots of items in quotation marks: "chickin' burger" (made from soy product); pesto "alfredo" (made with zucchini noodles and sans dairy); portobello mushroom "pizza" (with vegan cheese); veggie "quiche"; "chicken salad" wrapped in kale; and a "daily bowl" of warm food - perhaps a medley of tempeh, quinoa, and assorted vegetables in a stir-fry sauce. Some desserts are cooked, such as a recommendable "German chocolate cake" with no eggs or cream. Prices are $12 or less at this oasis for vegans and raw foodists.
