The first thing you'll notice at The Burgundy Room is that they sure named this place correctly. The whole place is, in fact, Burgundy. Burgundy walls, burgundy chairs and dark wood give the impression that you're in either an ultra sophisticated library or a bordello. Turns out, The Burgundy Room is neither, but it is a good happy hour choice in the rove. Specialty cocktails -- like The Burgundy Cloud, a mixture of rock sake cloud, belvedere black, raspberry, and lemon ($10) and The Burgundy Punch ($7) -- tend to be pink in color and "girly" in nature, but a good beer selection, including PBR drafts for $3 evens out the scale. Food consists of light bites, burgers and flatbreads -- perfect for when you get the munchies after drinking for three hours straight. Jack & Coke Skewers (Kobe beef, sweet whisky cola, and pancetta for $10), and Fried Apalachicola Bay Oysters ($7) give the munchie menu a southern flair. If your favorite artist is Neil Diamond and you love a good karaoke night, this is your place. Tuesday is Dueling Piano night and Wednesday brings the terrible pleasures of Rockstar Karaoke, where Gables gals can belt out their best Benetar.
