Moonchine Asian Bistro

7100 Biscayne Blvd
Miami, FL 33138
305-759-3999
Website
Braving the Hell on Earth that’s the Biscayne Boulevard reconstruction is this younger brother to Indochine Bistro on South Miami Avenue. The pan-Asian and sushi menu is basically the same, an array of crowd-pleasing (if not always overly generous) dishes at affordable prices. Stalwarts like tuna tataki, pad thai, and Thai-style curries are competently prepared and flavorful; “Vietnamese bouillabaisse” is light and tasty but would benefit from a freer hand with the seafood. The location hasn’t been kind to previous restaurant tenants, but the Moonchine folks might change all that.

The Inside Word on Moonchine Asian Bistro

This local eatery has the only and best Thai brunch buffet in Miami. Wishing I could remember the name of the curry chicken, I highly recommend sampling all of the Sunday dishes from 11am-4pm. Full meat selections, numerous sushi options and a minimal dessert table all make up the Sunday feature; all you can eat for less than $17. The crowd is minimal and you have the option of dining inside or outside (I also recommend patio dining as there is a live performance by Fabian Hernandez every other Sunday). Check 'em out!

Great brunch spot in the heart of MiMo offering great food at an affordable price. Brunch was $13 for all you can eat w/ lots to choose from. Good drink selection - recommend their Lycheetini ($7). The green curry w/ chicken was my absolute favorite! I definitely appreciated a neighborhood spot offering live vocals on a relaxing Sunday afternoon.
