Located in South Beach's Redbury Hotel, Lorenzo is James Beard Award-winning chef Tony Mantuano's first restaurant outside the Midwest. Here, Mantuano, who was featured on Top Chef Mastersand has earned a reputation as President Barack Obama's favorite chef, serves classy Italian cuisine. There are arancini stuffed with corn; spaghetti tangled with pomodoro sauce and basil; and house-made gelato in traditional flavors such as chocolate and espresso. Mantuano also proffers stunning dishes such as wild Nigerian prawns ($42) and lamb ribs glazed with pomegranate molasses and harissa. Lorenzo belongs to a particular breed of South Beach restaurants, the kind imported by out-of-town James Beard Award-winning chefs. They're fine and pricey.
