Enriqueta's Sandwich Shop

186 NE 29th St. Miami, FL 33137 | Midtown/Wynwood/Design District | 305-573-4681
Map

Location Description:

Between 6:15 and 11:00 a.m., a cross section of Miami's working stiffs -- from car mechanics to Design District dandies -- jostle for a spot in this efficient little sandwich shop. Desayuno especial -- two eggs, bacon or ham, Cuban toast, café con leche, and the pièce de résistance: a cup of freshly squeezed orange juice -- for $4.69. The service, by the way, also is a Miami anomaly: swift and friendly. The café con leche is sweet and strong; the milk is warm and comforting. Best dollar you've spent in a long time. Lunch specialties include the chicken sandwich: a lime-marinated cutlet smothered in potato sticks, with cheese, tomato, grilled onions. Enriqueta's also weighs in with an assortment of smoothies and shakes.
