A Miami institution made famous by Mel Kiser and Corky Irick's movie Last Night at the S&S Diner. Bring a book while you wait 'cause wait you will in this popular counter spot. Try the chopped steak with onions and gravy, the roast turkey, or the fried sole or shrimp. And there are few better mashed potatoes served in the area. Desserts are unexceptional, but there's a decent rice pudding.
