Miami's sushi enthusiasts bellowed a collective cry when in late 2015, Nobu Matsuhisa shuttered his beloved sushi hideaway inside the Shore Club. But not for long: The chef returned in grand style only a few weeks later with a sprawling outpost inside the historic Eden Roc Miami Beach, which also rebranded itself with Nobu's name and barebones aesthetic elements. Despite the new sprawling space, Matsuhisa's 32nd restaurant is playing the same hits: spicy tuna with crispy rice, miso black cod, and hamachi in a tart dressing adorned with jalapeño rings. For your money, grab a seat at the sushi bar, where one of more than a half-dozen itamae will walk you through an expansive list of expertly curated nigiri that ranges from Santa Barbara sea urchin to the translucent, meaty slices of the amberjack called kanpachi.
